America's Cup boats race in Cagliari
From 21 to 24 May 2026, Cagliari will host the first Preliminary Regatta of the Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup, the event that officially opens the Road to Naples 2027.
For the first time since Barcelona 2024, all America’s Cup teams will race together again in spectacular fleet races aboard the one-design AC40s.
The schedule includes multiple races each day, with the two-boat final set for Sunday, 24 May. The racing areas will be close to the shoreline, offering excellent viewing opportunities from land.
The Gulf of Cagliari, the long-time training base of Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli, will once again provide ideal conditions thanks to its reliable wind and unique setting.
On shore, the Race Village and AC Viewing Promenade will feature big screens, fan activities, official merchandising, and dedicated areas for teams and sponsors.
The event will open on Thursday, 21 May, with a press conference, official practice sessions, and the presentation of all teams.
